In the summer of 2006, World Links International Adoption Agency will launch its 11th annual Links of Hope Host Program for orphaned children. These lucky children, aged 6 years and older, will travel to the United States and spend time with a host family – from late June through early August – for a four-week experience of a lifetime. This program can provide these children with something they may never experience again: the opportunity to be part of a real family.

Karing 4 Kids helps these children learn everyday social skills, receive an introduction to American culture and possibly realize their greatest dream: to find a permanent, loving home in America.

Greater Success, Year After Year

In 1999, 25 children participated in the first pilot program. Every year since, World Links has built upon the successes of previous years and invited more and more children to participate in each program. In 2003, 77 children from Eastern European countries spent their summer holiday in the United States and 40 children came here for our Winter Miracles Program. In 2004, World Links’ Summer Host Program brought more than 80 children to America from a variety of countries throughout the world.

Creating Bonds and Encouraging Understanding

Host programs are a great opportunity for families and children to learn about each other and create meaningful bonds. Getting to know your prospective older child can add to your family’s comfort-level in making such a lifelong commitment. And it can result in providing a waiting child with a permanent family and loving home.
