Adoption program from Poland
Word Links is proud to have recently established its Polish international adoption program. We have forged a strong and dependable relationship with the Polish adoption officials and the orphanages with which we work. Parents wishing to adopt from within Poland will find that the country is modern and more westernized than its eastern European neighbors, yet still manages to maintain its cultural history and historical landmarks.
We’re With You Every Step of the Way
While in Poland, our international adoption coordinators will guide you through the adoption process from the moment you arrive to the time you depart the country. After you return home from Poland with your child, you can take advantage of World Links’ post adoption counseling, mentoring and social networks services. Our numerous events and get-togethers with other adoptive families provide continued support to families after the international adoption process is successfully completed.
Who Can Adopt?
  • Married couple and singles over the age of 25 are eligible
  • PMothers may be up to 40 years older than the child, and fathers may be up to 45 years older.
  • Parents with a Polish heritage or connections are preferred, but this is not a requirement.
Children Availability
  • Children 18 months and older and their siblings can be adopted.
  • Children with special needs can be adopted.
Adoption process
Once you submit your application to World Links we will help you begin the international adoption process in Poland. You will be assigned an individual consultant to assist in gathering and completing the documents needed for your dossier. Once your dossier is complete, it will be sent to Poland to registered and reviewed. Referrals are received after documents are reviewed by the Central Adoption Commission, which will then begin to search for a referral child that will match an adoptive parent’s request based on age, gender and health status.
As soon as a referral becomes available, you will be notified and receive an invitation to travel to Poland. Your referral package will contain a profile of a child best matching the description your provided. It includes the name of the prospective child together with pictures and relevant medical and social information.
If you choose to accept the referral and continue to the next step, World Links will schedule your trip and assist with all travel arrangements to Poland. Adoptive parents then travel to Poland to meet and spend time with their potential child and to attend a court hearing. At this time, parents can either stay in Poland to complete the adoption or return to Poland in 2-3 weeks to complete the process and bring their child home. Your first trip to Poland can last from 1-2 weeks. Your second visit can take 7-10 days.
