Kazakhstanian International Adoption Process

After you submit an application, World Links will promptly begin the international adoption process. You will be assigned a consultant to help you gather the documents needed for the Kazakhstanian adoption dossier. Once your dossier is compiled and translated, it will be forwarded to Kazakhstan. You’ll be notified as soon as a referral becomes available and receive an invitation to travel to Kazakhstan.

The referral contains a profile of a waiting child best matching the description of the type of child you would like to adopt. It includes the name of the prospective child, along with a picture and relevant medical and social information. If you choose to accept the referral and continue to the next step, World Links will schedule your trip and assist with all travel arrangements.

Both parents (if applicable) are required to travel to Kazakhstan. Prior to their court date, both parents are also required to meet with their prospective child each day for two weeks. Parents should expect to stay for about three to six weeks but one parent may leave after the official adoption decree is granted in court. In some instances, parents may be able to stay for the first two weeks and leave after the court date, returning in two to three weeks to bring the child home. The second trip will then last about four days.
